A little help

Hi guys, I am PCSing (being reassigned by the Army) to Ft Jackson Sc (that's in Columbia Sc for those that don't know) I am looking for a house to rent up there, I have been up a couple times but no payoff. I need a 3 br 2 bath house not apt. Needs to be in a good neighborhood and perferably close to the base for driving reasons (gas). Anyone live up there or know of any listings? My wife has burned up the internet looking and the long distance bill is gonna be sky high. Any help would be appreciated. Thx

    I was out the other night around 2:30 A.M. and heard five quick shots, a pause of a second or two and two more shots. Wasn't my problem, it wasn't my hunting lease, I didn't go and investigate. I called the guy who owns that lease and asked if he had anybody out pig hunting, he said no.

    It sounded like a .243. wasn't a .223 or a .308, of course sound can fool you in the woods. The thing is there really aren't that many hunters around that use a semi auto rifle (around here), especially one with an extended magazine.

    What rifle could it have been? Defiantly a high velocity round, you can tell from the crack.

    Mostly just curiosity, but he was shooting in the lease next to mine. Likely a poacher, who has an odd (for around here) rifle.

    I am going to go to Jackson in a couple days to the Comissary I'll see what I can dig up for you. I am about an hour north of there so this area wont work for you. But we sure can get together to go shooting after you get moved.

    I am up in York. It is closer to Charolotte. But I do go down that way about once a month to Ft. Jackson. It gives me a reason to get out of the house.
