Finally got to the lake, then had to drag the boat through Knee deep grass and muck for about 100 yds, when we did get on the lake, nothing was biting, moved around a bit, then tangled with 6 big blue gill, and the the catfish started biting, 10 catfish in the 2 and 3 lb range. BR will get a few fish sandwiches off these [:D][:D]

Not gonna post pics as I am too tired. and I got to clean all them fish..[:0]

Finally got the little jon boat that I repaired, (was full of holes) out to the lake today, and proud to say it didnt leak a bit..[:D]

Caught two bass, one 18 incher and a 17 incher, couple got away from me in the lily pads, but they will be there next time.[:p]

Starting to get too hot for daytime fishing though. The fish get lazy during the day, and dont want to bite . but around 6 or 7 in the evening as the sun goes down, pretty good..[:D]

They have to hit the grill a couple hours after pulling them out of the water. After cleaning, I wrap the little ones in aluminum, with a chunk of butter and some pepper. A few minutes over the grill, and they do a quick disappearing act!

Fishing? Must be nice to be retired. My day was spent at work.[V]
Around here the bass are full of mercury. Catch and release is what I do, that is when and if I catch'em.

    dolfan...

I worked too, and then AFTER work we hit the lake..Since the lake is right where I am working, its the best of both worlds so to speak..

I had one hooked that hurt my wrists by the time I had him near the boat..Classic was reaching down to pull him in, said "man he's a good un, and the threw the freakin hook....I felt like crying and not from the pain in my wrists...LOL..

    BR here...not classic
