to throw a tantrum yet? Sent seller a money order two weeks ago this morning and a e-mail last night. No item or reply. Only e-mail I got was when I won the auction and he told me where to send the money. This is a low dollar item and I have a bad feeling because he is dropping his "BUY NOW" prices.

Two weeks? Come on people! Get a grip!

I sell on Ebay......mail to Tucson takes a MINIMUM of 5 days, normally. Two days to pack it (get it one day, pack it the next, send it out the next), and 5-10 days back........there is two weeks. And if they sent a check, 10 days for that to clear, too.

Thats a MINIMUM time. You guys are WAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY too impatient.

Sometimes, things will get here and back to the person in a week or so, but that is rare.

If you are that impatient, buy it at a store.

Mail to other areas is faster, I'm sure. It sure sucks in Tucson. :(

It might be a little too soon, but mail from Indiana is usually 3 days or less to the East Coast and 5 days or less to the West Coast. Since the seller insists on immediate payment or else he'll neg you and relist the item, blah blah, he or she should expect to provide immediate shipment. Fair's fair. All members on an auction site are equals. I think sometimes we lose track of that fact. I have a buyer's policy as well as a seller's policy. Don't require something of me that you're not willing to live up to yourself. The golden rule. If you're too busy to give good customer service, I say CUT BACK on your auctions until you can handle it and achieve 100% good feedback.

    Offerer,
I normally agree with what you say, but you are NUTS if you think 100% good feedback is possible! :)

Now.....this depends on what you sell, too. I sell videogame stuff.....and people are IDIOTS about it. People who sell videogame stuff get a LOT more negatives than people who sell "adult" stuff like Beanie Babies, etc.

Like tonight......guy emails me about 3 pm, and says "I haven't received my stuff, why not?"

So, I have no idea who he is, so I ask for his name, address, etc. He sends it back about 5 pm.

I was spending time with the wife, and come back in, and see that he has left me a negative at about 9 pm.

The idiot gave me FOUR HOURS to respond! Thats insane!

Oh.....I found his info. Turns out he is a TRUE IDIOT......didn't send ANY info, other than his name and address. I don't know about you, but I'm not a mind reader. :)

Oh well.......nothing for him. Screw me, I screw you. And the thing is.....these type of people can NEVER fess up that they screwed up and didn't send ANY INFO! It is always MY fault because I didn't know what they were buying!

Funny thing though.......99+% of my buyers get their stuff within 10 days with NO PROBLEM. I've had over 50,000 customers in the last few years. Rarely have a problem. Just that small percentage who are too stupid to follow instructions. heh.

Oh, another thing. Volume really has nothing to do with it for me. I have people who pack stuff for me, and *everything* (posting auctions, sending out end of auction emails, combining shipping, etc) is automated. I have plenty of free time to answer the emails I get each day.

I think most of us here are honest and do what were supposed to do.Im afraid Rosie has been bit before and feels like it is going to happen again. As long as the seller will talk with me reasonably I dont feel there is no problem. But when he fails to answer Email etc.
    I began to feel weary.

I'm even a bit jaded about it if the communications fail. I've had *so* many emails disappear into electronic limbo or returned as 'undeliverable' for some utterly stupid reason . . . . As long as I can contact the other party in some way and receive a halfway intelligent / honest reply, I've been OK. I'm not in Merc's league (and try to stay off eBarf anyway), but I've done > 1,000 transactions over the past four years and I can easily count all of the bad ones without exposing the family to the odor eaters. Unless I see a party with few feedbacks, virtually all negative, I try to research the history of the individual(s) posting the negs. More often than not, they are folks that expect their goods to arrive five minutes after they post the check - usually with some sort of ID deficiency so the seller couldn't have delivered the package if he were standing next to them. In other words, there's about a 75% correlation between idiots &/or 'holes & those who post negs.

Couldn't be a communications problem because I e-mailed him right away and told him a money order would be in the mail the next morning. It or the one I sent night before last never came back. I can tell you this, he is still selling and lowering prices! Will try to call him tonight.

    If I sold stuff online,
I`d take about a week to
    get it shipped.

    Then when the buyer
    gave negative feedback,
    my rebuttal would be,
    'Yey,I`m a little slow
    gettin` things out this
    time of year ,you got
    your fr!&&!n stuff,so
    shut your mouth,before I
    come and attack your @$$!

Do you have a name?.. I am assuming you do if you got the phone number... see if there is another listing for him... if he has a dial up modem..then he has a phone...
You could contact admin here if it was on GB...check with information for a new number...

    Rosie,
That sucks. Jerks like that give all of us online sellers a bad name. Though, it COULD still arrive. Hopefully.

Is it on GB or Eb**? If it is on Eb**, just go to the "Safe Harbor" and fill out the online form, saying that his contact info is invalid. They will then kill all of his auctions, and shut him down.

    Good luck.

I checked with information for the name and address he gave me and they said there was no number for that name. Tried to call with the number GB gave me and they said it had been disconnected. Sent GB an e-mail telling them about the problem and hopefully they can stop things before someone else gets it. This is assuming that every thing is not on the up and up which it sure don't look like. If a man would ask me for $35.00 I would hand it to him no strings attached if he needed it. If he cheats me out of $35.00 then it will be the most expensive $35.00 he ever got, bar none! Hopefully this will be all innocent and cozy in the end.

I am sorry to hear of the problems you are having.... you know, with ebay and the rest of the auction sites, you would think it would be part of the deal that when you give them the credit card number, you SIGN authorization for them to charge the account with the amount a person was out... For example,.... the person that took the money and didnt deliver could have their card charged with the amount that was sent to them...and the host site send the buyer the money off the credit card..... Course that is a bit too simple or complex?.. who knows...
    Good luck Rosie

That sure sounds good to me BlackRoses! I will wait until I hear from GB before I go wild! Would ask nunn a couple of questions but he has more on his mind right now than a man should. I don't care that much about the money BlackRoses, I just don't like to be cheated. I can be a real * about a lot of things but I don't lie and I don't cheat.

Classic and I are the same... if we give our word, you can take it to the bank... its our bond....
As for liars?... no way in he** will I tolerate that... Lie to me once, I might let it go by... Lie to me a second time... dead meat as the saying goes...

I like to think most people are basically honest, and would not cheat others... Maybe I live in a dream world, but I have found most people to be that way... would be nice if the rest were as well...

This time I sent him an e-mail through GB!! Kind of ingenius don't you think? He got it and responded saying he would send item this week. Asked him why his phone was disconnected and he did not respond. He said he was so busy selling so many of this item he couldn't keep up. It would have to be somewhere else because he is not selling that many here. Still don't smell right but who knows? The gentleman may be making a bundle and everything will turn out all warm and fuzzy. Hope so
