Last night we just had our first driveby shooting downtown off of 3rd and Govt. way. the man shot dead from a head wound lay on the sidewalk in front of one of my employee's home.
I have just been learning about the 40 different gangs represented here in Kootenai county and talking to my men about this and Mike calls me this morning telling me this news.
He just photographed some graffiti for me he saw in his little alley way to help our new N. Idaho violent crimes task force. Now this eye opener.
These gang members and dopers are trying to infiltrate our communities. There are 330 confirmed gang members in Kootenai County and national statistics state that for every confirmed gang member there are 7 in the area that have not been confirmed(caught) yet.
Their drugs are worth 3 times as much here as they are down in S. Cal. and other big cities. 40 of the most well known gangs are represented here in Kootenai county. They are here to hide out from their past and make money off of the locals.
Now indigenous gangs are forming to protect themselves from these move in gangs. We need to be aware and keep track of our communities to keep these guys out!

Hate to say it but in most places you are too late. By the time you notice them its too late.
Historically correct. Once a gang is in an area they are never known to be completely extenguished. The problem is the indigenous gangs, this is their home. They aren't going anywhere.
Our indigenous gangs are the CSK(can't stop killin') and the NFP(North Francis pimps) also the notre 13.
We just got some federal funding for our gang unit and all we can do is make it known we will not accept their presence.[:(!]
At some point it falls squarely on the citizens shoulders to force these people out. If people would stand up for what is right, and just it would make the police officers job much easier.
I fully agree! that is why we are learning from our PD's and educating other civilians so they are aware and can keep an eye on our neighborhoods.
We will not be overrun by these gangs, we have had such a growth in population in the past few years it is hard to adjust. The folks up here love this land and are willing to stand in harms way for it.

+1..... algore is a D.A.Y.R.L, me im here in south east Idaho and while I havent seen that yet, I do know its coming, Im with nunn find a big tall tree and a short peice of rope... however much easier said than done Im afraid[:(] and by the way algore you are just flat ignorant and quite possibly the dumbest sum * ive ever heard reply to a post ...ever... for not knowing about these wolves, you want em come get em, hope this dont get your thread poofed but that strikes a nerve w/ me, im done no more name callin I promise!

Let the people of Idaho exercise their constitutional rights without any interference from the police.
You are an open carry state. Let them carry and feel good about it.
Pass laws like in Montana that protect citizens from being prosecuted or even questioned when they defend their rights. Shift the burden of proof to the DA and not the accused.
And finally, shoot back. Get a swat team and clear the meanies out. If the cops aren't willing to get a little trigger time. Have the sheriff round up a posse, train them and go after the gangs.

Allen, I prefer the wolves to these scum...I wouldn't mind feeding them to the wolves.
BTW...I volunteered to put myself in front of gunfire for this nation, I can assure you that I would have no problem doing so again. Thank you for the insinuation though...
I mostly agree with nunn except I wouldn't give them a choice.
