One of the references I found was 1 Timothy 5:17-18...but I believe there is another reference as well.

Flat tax, same percentage for all, poor, rich, corporations, not deductions, no exclusions, no dodges.

I'd go so far as to say that it should not be the same percentage, but the exact same amount. There is absolutely no reason in the world why one person should carry more of the tax burden than someone else. Everyone should carry an equal burden...down to the dollar amount. The rich not only pay all the income taxes in this country, but they carry far more than their share with excise taxes, etc on their purchases.

    That is down right unfair.

Well, until the socialists utopia comes about, we all don't have EQUAL AND FAIR incomes. So, it is impossible to belive that all citizens are going to pay an equal dollar amount.

Even our founding fathers knew this.

It is entirely the fairest, to tax based on a percentage, the SAME across the board.

This is why I see a national sales tax, at point of sale, as the most fair.

If we are going to have a Federal Tax System, that is what it should be.

Well, just a couple of posts ago Eric, you were advocating a flat tax fee on every citizen.

    Which way is it?

To be honest, the only FAIR system would be a flat tax fee on every citizen...like I said. However, in today's world...or anything remotely similar to it, that would be a next to impossible achievement. I would settle for the system you espoused.
