I am not a computer expert or nothing, but I use the Norton anti virus to protect my laptop and my desk top computers.Could you tell me if you think this is a good anti virus or not? I run the weekly update, every week.I know most of you are wizards with these things. All Replies will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Yes its a good antivirus, just make sure you keep it updated.

When Clinton left office they gave him a 21 gun salute. Its a damn shame they all missed....

I used to have Norton. I'm sure it is a great anti-virus program. A few months ago I updated my Norton Anti-Virus online on a Sunday. On Tuesday of the same week I received a virus that disabled Norton and made it impossible to recover my hard drive. I was forced to format it. Now I use McAffee. I'm sure Norton is good and I'm sure that my experience was an exception to the rule but I'm just supersitious like that.

I have used both, and also Quick Heal, which is also very good... but no matter what one I use, I also bought The Cleaner, which takes care of worms, trojans.. etc.. It can be downloaded from cnet, for a trial and then you decide on what one you want to purchase..
Nortons doesnt give the opportunity to schedule when to scan, Mcaffees does.. so does quick heal... Nortons is a bit better than McAffee..quick heal I find is better than both.. Quick heal can be downloaded for a free trial as well..
I also have used IBM antivirus, which came with the comp I purchased.. again..very very good.. It all depends on the person's personal pref... and what you are comfortable with.. but I always use The Cleaner with what ever antivirus program I have..
