without a cigarette. First day was unbearable. Second was bearable for half the time, excruciating the other half. Third was not so bad. I'm pretty proud of myself, but I'm more proud of my wife for putting up with me the last 72 hours. I've been quite the bear. Here's hoping for 72 more years now.. [:p]

btw, Do cigars count? I don't want to quit smoking good cigars..

    Cigars only count if you "inhale", (just like dope).

    I had been smoking cigars for years (quit in April '04)
    one right after another- .Couldn't work around the yard or
    in my little wood shop without one and by the way the cigars
    contrary to a lot of criticism didn't seem to bother the deer.
    Any hoo , had a heart attack in April. Told the cardiololgist
    I don't inhale. He said "smoking" one cigar is like inhaling 10 cigarettes-????- , says the nicotene goes into the tongue and gums
    down into your blood stream. He said you don't have to even light 'em.
    I wonder about all those who chew. My big problem is genentics.
    I surely do love cigars!!!
