A pox on the all Penn State Trustees houses for the scandal cover up and making Joe the scapegoat for their sins.

The perpetrator, three Penn State officials are being prosecuted, the University president was let go with a mulit-million dollar pension and should have been prosecuted along with the rest of the Board of Trustees who voted to scapegoat Joe.

The truth will come out.

I couldn't agree more.

This man did SO much for the University, and he got treated like he did.

IF you're going to fire a man, have the balls to tell it to his face, not by a letter slipped under his door with a phone number to call.

RIP JoePa.

The Keystone State is in mourning today.

No offense intended, loaf and prayers offered for his soul and for his family...

That said, wasn't he just a football coach, rather than some sort of divinity on earth? Perhaps if one is enamored with sports?

My roots and family are in Pa and none of my Pa kin-folk are in mourning because of this sports coach's death.

    Trying to understand here...

JoePa wasn't just a coach....he was an institution. The man had been coaching at Penn State since Harry Truman was President.

In our modern era of overpaid, mercenary football coaches, JoePa was the exception.......We most likely will never see his type again.

As I said, one must need to be enamored with sports to have that mean anything, because it doesn't, to me.

Sad to see him pass, since he seemed to mean so much to so many.
