First I gotta give a little background: I got this book about 2 years ago. It belonged to my grandfather. When he passed away I happened to look through his book case and found this book. My grandfather was a Pearl Harbor survivor on the USS Honolulu. He served all through WWII. He had gotton out of the Navy and was reactivated by the Navy for Korea where he was on the USS Essex.

The book is: It Doesn't Take A Hero by Gen. H Norman Schwarzkopf

I had forgotten that I got this book with my moveing and all and it has been in a box for 2 years.

What really surprised me was before I started reading it I kind of flipped through the pages and found some slips of papers in some of the pages. They had little notes on them about me. And every page that had these slips of paper were pages that had to do with the 2nd ACR who I was with durring Desert Storm.

It just kind of got to me because me and my grandfather were never that close over the years, and I had allways kind of felt that he looked upon me as the black sheep of the family.

I guess I kind of thought wrong!
