my first question is i heard that they are letting companys over seas make the gun(true or false)?

Second question is did they really stop makeing pistols cause i keep seeing these little COLT DEFENDERS flying around my local gun shops, especially the stainless steel models with the rubber grips?

third qestion is the frame alumium cause they seem light, i carry a 9mm Springfield Subcompact XD, and it seems it would be a better carry weapon b/c, 1 the cal. is bigger, 2 the maker, 3 just seems lighter than my XD

i want one and probably will get one UNLESS question one is true then i WONT buy colt, i'll go springfield or another gun.

funny they won't just come out and say it, cause alot of gun shops say they don't then you ask them where they get the colts and they just kinda of brush you off, you know. but man its a nice piece and you can't beat the price 750, seems about average on GB to.

    Colt splits in two companies
Effective November 4, 2002, Colt completed reorganizing its operations into separate military and commercial businesses. As a result Colt Defense, LLC was established to conduct the business of manufacturing and selling military products while Colt's Manufacturing Company, Inc. will continue to manufacture and sell commercial products. The ultimate goal of this reorganization is to better position and equip each business to compete in it's own marketplace.

The colt defense is for military and security and the commercial link is provided below...
