I'd say no because in most cases you don't need any kind of artillery to ward off crickets. Best defense is a hard soled shoe, can of RAID, and a rolled up newspaper. Best of luck to you in your valiant struggle.

I wish I had your crickets. My chickens love them. Throw a cricket in their pen and it's pandamonium. It will usually pass thru a dozen beaks before one finally get to eat it. They gang up on the one who has it and take it away from her. Then they jump on the next one that has it and so on. Tom
