Maybe something wrong with my terminology, but in Montana we called them Custom Cutters and most came from Kansas I think.

Plains, i am planting winter wheat in to spring wheat stubble....yes the spring yeilded good...that field made 65 bu per ac and run 15 protein.

Scottm, we are just about 100% notill i have fields that have not had tillage done for many many years....in fact i one field i was planting spring wheat in has a cedar tree growing in that is over 2 feet tall....planted right over top of it.

I worked for the local Deere dealer late 70's til '83.(until his old lady put him out of business and 18 people out of a job) Still love them Deeres!
I was raised on row binders, but found out what GOOOOD tractors were when I got to the green. 6620, 7720's were new then, and the 8850 V-8 Deere.

Combines were good for 4 years, then they were worn out to.
