I don't know if any of you have ever cooked meatloaf this way but it turns out real good!

You mix everything that you normally make your meatloaf with and then put it in the crock-pot on low and let it slow cook all day!

It really seems to be much more flavorfull and moist!

If you have never tried it you should!

No thanks...I like my meatloaf with crusty edges. Tried it in the crock pot and it was too soggy for me.

I got alot of different thing that I make. Alot of them are stuff my mom and my grandmother made.

I also like to experiment with different things.

When the kids are in school I do use the crock-pot alot. I'll get dinner started in the morning and it gives me my day to myself. Most of the things I make in the crock-pot are 1 dish meals that have everything in it. Tonight all I will have to do is mashed potatoes and a veggie and bread.

When the weather cools way off I make a pot of beans about once a week in the crock-pot! I allways add lots of smoked hock and ham to them![:p]

Being a single father really makes you learn to cook![:D]

Yeah, dad likes Navy beans (I think thats them) and Smoked Ham Hock in it, with the little chunks of ham slow-cooked in a crock.

But he doesnt get it too often.

Hey, I can cook too! [:D][:D]

That's funny - I made meatloaf last night too. My daughter is allergic to milk/eggs so I make it with crushed up ritz crackers, onions, ketchup, worcester and a few other seasonings. Cook it by temp with a probe, when it hits 160, it's done.

Also if you use a Kitchenaid stand mixer and mix it for like 20 minutes it comes out very tender.

ya'll have to try puting chunks of peperjack cheese in there!

i put the loaf together with bread crumbs, egg, worshishire sauce, macormick meatloaf seasoning stuff, green onions, parm cheese, and tomato sauce... cook for 30 min. then pull out, cut open in a few places and stash the pepperjack then cover with more tomato sauce and continue cooking for another 30-45.
    delish!

...Nope, never cooked it that way. The old casserole dish works for me..the crunchy edge thing.
If you can find it, instead of tomato suace or ketchup on top...use HP Fruity, an English condiment, damn it's good stuff...[:p]
