They may be old and past their prime, but I'm going to see ZZ Top this June! [8D]

John Fogerty is also on the lineup. I crossed Metallica off the bucket list last year, might as well get ZZ Top this year!

I have to go and pick up some supplies for my dad in Indy. Jodie my best friend ask if she could go. Sure why not. I drove and Jodie was the radio jockey. She's alway had a little different taste in music than me, One of the CD's she had was a ZZ top. I guess I never really listen to ZZ top before, but I really like them. Any one out there who hasn't every listen to them and like the sound of electric guitar should really give them a try.

Saw them in Sturgis a couple years ago, I was maybe 50' from center stage and yes it was pleasantly LOUD!! [:D]

The show was setup like a music video with big televisions behid the band, plenty of hotrods and babes on the screens.

And they toss out cases of CHEAP SUNGLASSES!!!!!

I had a delima the night they played, Ted Nugent at the Full Throttle or ZZ Top at the Buffalo Chip, glad I chose ZZ Top. Not sure if I would have had a good time at a Ted Nugent show in that tiny area at the Full Throttle plus I went for music, not a political rally that his shows tend to turn into.

    1971, or was it '72, maybe '73?

I think I enjoyed the show. At least my friends said so, and we all survived it.

I stopped their tour bus one morning on I81 for an unsafe lane change a year or so ago. It was 0530 in the morning. The driver seemed like a nice guy.

One of my favorite bands too, but sadly I've never seen them perform. During deployments I had my Cassette Player by my bunk on the Midway and listened to them most of the time, my favorite album being Tres Hombres. My favorite cut off that album was Master of Sparks, just about wore it out! [:D]

They are great. How a three piece band can sound like five is amazing. Funny, the one named Beard, doesn't have one.[:D]
    Love the hot rods, too.

Hell yes, saw them at Cincinnati during an all day concert in 1974 (?). They played last, encored 4 times, played everything they knew. Management turned on the lights and cut their power, great concert, great band. They love to play .

Rio Grande Mud was the first ZZ album I bought, but the one with the Enchilada was next!
Seen 'em about 8 times in Texas before they started to cut records; they used to do gigs in bars & the Electric Ballroom.
Saw 'em at the old Civic Auditorium here 4 times, each better than the last!

I took my daughter to see them in Houston. They were great. I listen to their Pandora and iheart radio all the time. I really like their music.

I used to drive their tour bus until some cop stopped us one morning and said I made an unsafe lane change which got me fired. I think he might have been smoking pot. I'd like to get my hand on that sorry son of a gun! I've been on welfare ever since. [:D]
