They said early this week that Central IL was to get 3" of snow this weekend.

Now I heard on the phone, that we are forcasted for 6". That will be a 50/50 chance if you know any weatherman.[:o)]

I drove from Ft. Dix to Ft. Drum, NY once, in early April. When I got there, it was in the middle of a friggen blizzard. One of the guys who was with me said that when summer arrived in upstate NY, he was going swimming on both days [:D].

Yep, this time last year I was riding the bike to go fishing in the Genesee river/Honeoye creek.
Today I'm sitting inside and looking at the pc.[:(!]

We got about 3 inches of snow last night. I heard one weatherman said it's been 40 years since we got this much, this late in March. This is in SW Missouri.

Accu-guess is calling for just over 6" here in Western Ohio on Sunday. I know how they change in by the hour, so I just checked again to be sure. Now it's supposed to be 4-8" total for the day. [:0]

I'm sure it will be revised hourly until it's over.

Mother's Day, 1997....5" of snow at Ft. Drum.

I'm glad I was away on an exercise at sunny Ft. Bragg at the time.

mgm--l remember a friend of mine talking of Fort Dix days during Basic and his first experience with snow.. His Drill Sgt telling him on a cold freezing Feb 68 day it was NOT snow falling from the sky. lt was in fact "Yankee Cotton" [:0]

It's not so much the snow and the cold that I object to at this point. It's the monochromatic landscape. The sky is the same color as the ground, with a strip of various shades of brown in between.

    Won't start snowing here.

We get a little tease now and again, but the weather is acting like a drunk on his wedding night. The actual event is just doesn't live up to the promise.

I left Kansas for Alabama the last of February, it snowed all the way. Now here nearly the last of March and I'm waiting for a snow storm to go by so I can go back. I'm starting to think I may be a snow magnet.

Spring has almost sprung here near Huntsville, the forsythia and fruit trees are blooming and people are starting to mow yards.

Funny thing about winter weather: I know quite a few that are so into the 'global warming' crap yet piss and moan when the weather is bad! I would think that they would be totally happy with sub-zero temperatures and blowing and drifting snow but they actually love warm weather early. How exactly do you please these people? (Oh wait, Obama will please them...green letters)
