I am not saying it is not funny, but have you ever been to a gun show?

She went to the ketchup dept and I watched her for five minutes.
Finally I said "Let's go!"
She was comparing, one bottle was 25 ounces for 2 bucks, one bottle was 20 ounces for a buck fifty, one bottle had more sugar. etc etc
Good God! It takes me about 2.3 seconds to make my selection at the ketchup aisle.
I try to never, ever go shopping with the little lady, including the grocery store. I tell her to get her own car and go to the store, if she needs "Just a few things" that will take at least a half hour.
To the mall with the female? Not me, no way.
Women like to shop. Men look for what they need.
Again, have you ever been to a gun show?

Next morning, we hit department store for clothes. I got shirts, jeans, sox, underwear for self and each of the two kids (OK- you like this one? Good- it's your size- get a pink, yellow and a green one)
Got back to wife, she was still comparing 2 bras, had selected nothing.
Sweetheart, we are not shopping, we are BUYING. You like that one? Good- get two, put them in the cart. Are these your size panties? Good- grab 2 packs.

Lots of them. And not counting the few occasions like the most recent NRA Show where I went over to the TriStar booth and and chatted with some friends and made a deal for a new trap gun I rarely buy anything. (I am browsing and learning about products not shopping) Stopped by and talked with some other friends about sending some other shotguns in for repair. 1 broken extractor one shooting both barrels [V]
Even before GunBroker I think maybe I bought a little ammo at gun SHOWs but never any firearms. That's why they are called gun SHOWS not GUN SALES.... Sorta like the difference between Hunting and Harvesting....

Yep, I have stood on both sides of the tables for quite a few years.
"Gun shows" - probably a more accurate phrase, if you are standing on the back side of the table . . . still there is a price on most everything on the table. Spend much time trying to sell the stuff, but spend an almost equal amount of time just showing the stuff.
"Buying vs. shopping" - When I am on the other side of the table, I spend all of my time walking around the whole building looking (shopping) for something to buy. Sometimes I find something to buy. Often times I just spend all of my time looking. Considering my significant investment (gas, time, parking, admission, food), I never just enter the building and walk to the place I know the item can be found and buy it - and leave.
Women are conditioned to be gatherers. They had to mind the babies, and therefore didn't meander far from home. They selectively picked plantstuffs, carefully selecting each one. Usually while chatting with the other women with her.
Hunters went forth, often great distances, with a given quarry agreed upon in advance. When it was found, it was taken immediately and carried home. Silence was important.
And both genders act the same way even today.
well you guys can discussion gun shows all day, but that video illustration was based on buying a single gift card [:D]
I thought it was one guy looking for the best price on .22 rimfire.
