Mainly for "Pa-Booger" and the other Cutco/Ka Bar former or current employee's.
What is the best way to remove the Pommel? Or if ever done, how is it done at the factory?
I have aquired a couple of Old knives for hopeful restoration. And of course the 1st thing I need to do is to remove the pommel. I've seen alot of these old knives w/broken tang ends that were evidently broken while trying to remove the pommel.
Any advice/tips appreciated.

If it's not pinned, put the pommel end on a hard surface, and hit hit good with a sharp chisel and hammer and crack it.
It's WW-2 vintage, pinned. So just drive it out? I guess I already knew that. But I've seen several of these knives w/broken tang ends and assumed attempts to remove pommels were the reason. Hoped there was a trick to it. I hope to re-use the original pommel. So really don't want to destroy it.
If it's pinned and it goes all the way through, then you can drive it out.
