I went into a local shop that I do business with quite regularly, purchased a hand gun, he said, come back in three days to pick it up,, the Instant check was already done .. I informed him that I was exempt from the states three day wait, that he already knew I owned guns legally, and had sold me guns prior to this sale.. Florida Statute 790. Firearms regulations states: HE TOLD ME HE DIDNT KNOW ABOUT SUCH LAW AND I WOULD HAVE TO WAIT.. no big deal, but how are the dealers you do business with??
FLORIDA STATUTE 790.065
(d) The following shall be exempt for any waiting period..
Rather than go through all of them. just the part that concerns my purchase..
2. Individuals who already lawfully own another firearm and who show a sales receipt for another firearm, or who are known to own another firearm through a prior purchase from the retail establishment, or who have another firearm for trade..
Now wouldnt you interpret that to mean with him knowing me and selling me guns before, after the call in, I should be able to take possession of the gun???

Ummm, it's a federal holiday today. No mail, either.

None of the e-mails from them have said anything about them being down today, you get something different ?
The latest revision to the ATF Form 4473 requires FFLs to enter "IO" in the middle name field if the transferee's/buyer's legal name contains an initial only for a middle name. Since this will impact the accuracy of the search, the NICS will suppress the "IO" from the middle name field. To ensure "IO" is suppressed from the search, please do not enter a space after the initial and before the first quotation mark (i.e. John W"IO" Smith).
After deployment of the New NICS, the NICS Section received reports from iPad users that they were unable to retrieve statuses. After the deployment of the build, the ability to retrieve statuses via iPads will be restored. If you are an iPad user that this impacted, please notify the NICS Section at nicsliaison@ic.fbi.gov if you are still unable to retrieve statuses after the deployment of the build on January 16, 2017.
Thanks

They may have a "glitch" with the new mess they started today.
