Jimmy looked up where a good bbq place would be to meet....so we made the arrangements. WOW....was that place scary! We looked like three white specks in a mud puddle, every business around looked like something out of a Spike Lee movie. We didn't stick around to see if it really did merit the award they boasted winning on the website "Seventh best BBQ in Memphis."
That is a work of art. I would think a Winchester letter would be a big help selling a rifle like that.
W.D.
Looks like too much detail to be factory and the wood looks modern but so far out of my range of knowledge don't pay any attention to my babbling. I still lust after it.
I agree. It looks like a older Doug Turnbull restoration. But I too are no expert , just guessing. I still like it and would like it in my winchester collection.
I would like to see what Bert has to say about it.

I am thinking that the wood looks like it aged a lot better than the metal. Still a beautiful rifle!
This is one of the ones we drove to Memphis to pick up.

Nice rifle KC! Next time go to the Interstate BBQ. Its off I55 before you cross the river.
Memphis is a bad town nowadays.
I would also forward these pictures to Pauline Murelle and see if she can help.

Spike Lee was not in sight though...
Thank you for pointing out my mistakes guys. It really helps to have you guys go over things and point out what I missed!
But I'll have to give you a B on the photos.[:D]
I know I'm new here but I couldn't help it.
I'll bet your as pretty as the guns you deal with. (Forgiven?)

Ha ha ha ha ha! I just WISH I were as pretty as some of these rifles I'm dealing with right now. I've passed pretty and we have entered the "battleaxe" phase of life now.
