I do like the idea of that tip up barrel.....its not uncommon for people to be intimidated or just not strong enough to get the slide back.
Ruger made an LCP in raspberry. I got one for the bank ladies at my bank. Another one wanted me to get her one...that's when I learned it was a "limited run" and weren't available.
If I had to guess I'd say late 70's to very early 80's on that one.
That serial number puts it 1977-78

And that ain't a bad price...
I told her how to look on Gun Broker for one.....she would have to buy it and have it sent to me (which got me the blank stare from the bank lady) I think the only way that lady is getting one is if I can order it for her. I'm not about to start winning auctions for people that are unfamiliar with things. I've bid on auctions for some of my regular customers....but bank ladies aren't getting the same level of service out of me.
