SKS Magazine Problem

I've got an SKS with a removable magazine. The mag. is tight against the sides of the wooden stock & seems to bump the bottom of the bolt before it latches. Is there a spacer that goes between the mag. & the bottom of the stock? I shot 1 round & it jammed. Thanks.

    As said before, no spacer.

Most "removable" SKS mags don't work in most rifles. Even those few that do work require more time to change than replenishing the original fixed mag with a stripper clip.

If yours doesn't work, it can't be fixed.

I got out my sharp pen knife and scrapped/trimmed the wood inside of the mag hole until the mag inserted easy ( area is too small to work with sandpaper & I was scared to use a dremel in there). Afterwards I altered my bolt and now the mag swap in and out as fast as a AR, no more need for 3 hands to change out mags with the bolt closed [;)]

This might seem like a silly question, but you know the bolt has to be open to put one in and out?

Not if you make the simple & easy alteration on the bolt rail that blocks the mag........u-tube was my friend [;)]. I can change mags as fast as anyone with a AR, same procedure.

Reading the problem he is having it seems like it might be the standard set up and he might not be holding the bolt back......it might not be the problem, but I thought I'd ask just to rule that out.
