I really wish you good luck on this, it's a beautiful shotgun. But the type of people who buy these would be seriously turned off by that crack for that price.
The starting bid is more than a penny.......
The starting bid is $1,950.00 more than I paid for my first house. [:D]

We must have bought the same house!

You mean "their" and not "there".

If you were talking about bucshmasters post, he is right you are wrong.

No, I meant in Kasey's listing.
Say the repair costs $6000....they take that off the current asking price and offer and offer $15950....that is what I would expect to happen if someone were truly interested in the gun.
Shame really.

I wonder why it cracked. No more than the gun has been used, if it was just from shooting Krieghoff should stand good for it. A shotgun that expensive shouldn't crack a stock that easy. If it was dropped or other mishap okay, owners fault, but if it's just from being used Krieghoff would have to answer for that. $30,000 shotguns aren't worth spit if they don't hold up.
Having a 20 year love affair with over priced shotguns, I can honestly say I don't have a clue what this will bring when the dust settles.
I bet you field more interest than you expect on it!
If you don't get any bids will you end it early or just let it run out and relist with a lower starting price?
This is one of those ordeals that I have agreed to list for a set price, but I get one price if it doesn't sell and I get a higher price if it does sell. If there are no offers the owner has the choice to lower the price. I explained the penny auction and the appeal of doing that......I've also let them know we can get the stock repaired before they take a major loss on that. There are lots of paths we can go down on this thing before it's over.
My findings have been most buyers of a gun like this will buy new. Especially in a 12 gauge competition gun.
12 gauge anythings just don't seem to hold value on the used market like sub gauge shotguns.
Of course, I'm sure there are exceptions and I hope this is one of them.
Best of luck,
Ed
Too bad you only have the one ....... I'm looking for a matched set. [:D]
I'm sure I've got a few stashed around my attic if you want some [:p]
