Did a good one Sat. morning at 3am.
I was backing out of my Blazer w/two stacks of bundles for a carrier at this stop.
I was organizing the load and slid off of the tailgate backwards, put my foot on the edge of a bullnose curb and rolled my left ankle; first left then right and I came down in heap on it.[B)][V]
I immediately rolled with pain and ended up on the double yellows as two pick-ups and a tanker pass around me in the opposite lane.
I quickly rolled back to the curb as another SUV approached and didn't move over.[:0][:(!]
None of these people stopped to check on me nor did the carrier.
It took me five minutes or so to get to a standing position from a kneeling one and finish the route.[V]
I think the ankles broke - swollen to softball size, stiff as an over-starched nightshirt but, not turning colors.
Can't find a comfy possition but doing my best to keep it up on the back of the couch when I lay down.[:(]
Been over fifteen years since I done something this good.[^]
I told the bosses at the paper this stop was dangerous and needed to be black listed. [:(!]

They Probly Won't Do it Either[^]
Sorry Paul hope its Just a Sprain
I broke each ankle/foot twice long ago and rode it out thinking they were sprains. Doc was amazed when he discoverd them while I was in for a more recent severe bone bruise and sprain. I'd never been to a doc in the past for foot/ankle injuries before that.
About all I was able to understand out of that whole post was 'sprained ankle', the rest of it must be in code or a foreign language or something.
Sorry about your ankle, but could you translate the rest???
U know....It's that fancy-shmancy newspaper lingo...
That's all I got too..
I finally figgered out the "stacks & bundles" thing. It came to me from my bicycle paper rout I had when I was 7..
Their is few things bad as a ROLLED ANKLE... For days all it wants to do,is ROLL again![:(!][:(!]
