I was interested in these for a while also. I was told that since it was rifled for the .45LC the .410 shot wouldn't even come close to patterning correctly. Thought it would make a nice snake gun previous to that. Anyone else have experience? MIKE

I don't know if you are talking about the same gun. The Thunder 5 is a 5 shot revolver chambered for the .410 and 45LC. Locust fork has/or had, one listed on GB recently.

In the single shot .410 carry guns...the Ducktown out of Georgia is a better one, its pretty small, but everyone who gets one keeps them for the money they have in them. You can get a used one for under $100. The better brand in .410 derringers seems to be Bond Arms...they have two choices that both shoot .410, but only one shoots the .45lc....I cannot remember what the difference is. If you are looking at a carry gun that shoots .410 and 45lc the best thing out these days is a Taurus four-ten revolver. They run around $350, but they are really cool. The thunder five is a MONSTER beside the Taurus. In short...Bond Arms=great Duck town=good Comanche=so/so (in Derringers) In revolvers...Taurus=pretty cool Thunder Five=oh my what the heck is this giant thing!!
