Scopes for service rifle ?

Heard through the grapevine yesterday that next year 4x fixed power scopes and collapsible stocks will be allowed for service rifle matches through CMP and NRA. I've done a search on the internet and found a few threads on t, but nothing from an official source. Anybody have the straight dope on this ? TIA !
