I finally snapped a couple pictures of the Remington 760 .270. I also bought a nice hand-made sling for it, at the gun show.

Not yet. One guy had 2 brand new in the package for $60 and another had a used one for $50. Both had the steel bottoms. Seemed high....? They both said they will be at the local gun show in a couple weeks if I changed my mind.

Ditch-runner, putting some faith back into humanity! Good for you, as Frank Burns would say, "Its nice, to be nice, to the nice".

Sig220_Ruger77, I hope you enjoy the gun. I hunt some heavily wooded/brushy areas here in North-Central PA and I love .270 760. Slick, fast handling gun, very familiar to fans of the 870. If you have some trouble with the magazine, let us know, I have had to fit several mags and can outline the process for you.

    I have a '57 760 in .280 Rem. I love it! It was my grandfather's.

    Congratulations on a fine purchase.

    Pennsylvania machine-gun!

They are very popular amoung the tracking hunters in the northeast, also.

your welcome . I hope it works out for you .

I do not remember ever having to fit one to a rifle but I could see it being a issue . as many years as they have made the 760 and variation's and how many magazines have been cranked out over the years also .

Had My grandfathers 760 in 30-06 for a brief stint (had been in storage for 5-10yrs). I cleaned/oiled it then uncle got mad and it went to him. Hopefully someday I'll get it again.
