We were told that we should try dinner at a Boston Lobster Feast restaurant while we are in the area on vacation. Heard they have "all you can eat" lobster and every other kind of seafood imaginable. Can anyone give a review?

The tentative plan is to be there sometime this Tuesday evening. The actual time of arrivial to Kissimmee all depends on how well the fish are biting Tuesday morning in Okeechobee.

I went to one years ago, before they added all of the other stuff.
It was OK I guess, but the place was mobbed.

Never was really much of a 'buffet/all you can eat' type of person to be honest.

I wish you luck fishing the big O!
I fished that lake for many years, but it was a long time ago.

The fishery has gone down the toilet big time from what I hear.[xx(]

Just getting to spend some time with my pops in the boat is all worth it to me. Actually catching something is just an added bonus.

    +1

I used to keep my Cajun bass boat in Clewiston during the season. Most of the time I would run up to the area known as the 'monkey box' to fish. Caught my largest one there,.....a bit over 12 pounds.

Hope you have a great trip![^]

My wife is jumping for joy now. She has always wanted to see Disney World since she was a kid. She says Wednesday morning can't get here quick enough. Thanks again Gary.

If you are near Kissimmee, FL, Angel's Lobster and Seafood Buffet was a great experience for me. Only ate there once but they have all you can eat everything. Custom cooked good cuts of steaks, lobsters, crabs, shrimp, you name it. They put a giant bowl in the middle of the table so you can chuck your shells in it. It's a nice place though so decent attire is warranted.

we ate there saturday night be prepared to drop $50.00 a person
we never get a table go straight to the bar and get a seat or you can wait up to 30 mins for a table. tip the bartender real good before you get a meal and he or she will keep the drinks flowing and the area clean while you make a mess
the lobsters are a bit small, I ate 11 tails, my buddy had only six
but he also had 2 heaping plates of stone crab claws
dont be scared to try a little of everything and if you decide to eat healthy they have a ceasers salad on the cold bar
oh yeah last tip wear loose fitting clothes, you will be thankfull when you leave stuffed and miserable jody

I hope that's better than the Cleveland Steamers [:D].

I am curious though. Is this joint like a Red Lobster? Personally I'd go fo the local Florida eats. Snacking at those questionable Cuban joint or some retrofitted garbage barge.

Agreed, that place is advertizing a lot of "New England" stuff. Florida has an ocean on one side and a nice warm golf on the other with lots of warm lakes and rivers to grow some fine aquatic food. It is known for great seafood but when you go to a lot of these chain restaurants or made for tourists 'hotspots' then you often get some crap that was frozen and imported and the same ocean fresh food you can get in South Dakota. Red Lobsters in FL are usually associated with slums.

The best foods are found at places where the locals go and are often hidden from 'visitors' though. Good luck finding one.

Are you kidding? We're talking Floriduh here, the local hotspot will be one that offers the best anytime, all you can eat, senior discount, pricing!
Having watched my inlaws (and others) scarf up on Tilapia(?) that had been setting under the lights for hours, if not days, and still rave about how good it was, imho that 'hidden local diner' philosophy is about as reliable as the one that say's to look for the big trucks.
Truckers are attracted by friendly waitresses, big easily accessible parking, free coffee refills, and friendly waitresses!
Seniors will gum anything... as long as it's cheap!
(although the 'friendly waitress' bit works with old farts too)
