I live on a dead-end street. i was just out splitting some oak to stoke-up my smoker, and 2 "min-Pins",young,2-3 years old i'd say, a male and a female came trotting around the corner of my house, and came right up to me.
Neither has a collar or tags, i have been out by the road for an hour looking for someone that may be cruising the neighborhood looking for them.NO LUCK.
I hope some body didn't just drop'em off...

Call a nearby vet to see if they can scan for micro-chip. Lotta' folks have gone that route to ensure getting their friends back.

People who just drop off unwanted dogs or cats should..........well, I take a very dim view of that sort of behavior. Thats about as low as low can get.

My dogs and cats all got micro chips. They get lost, I will look long and hard for them, I'd want them back.

Our pets are part of our family, not just and animal to abandon when I get tired of feeding them. One of our dogs is on medication that costs us $120 a month, burden in todays trying times but I'd rather do without something so he can enjoy a healthful life. Wouldn't dream of setting him out somewhere.

I called the 3 closest local Vets, and the animal care&control people, told them i had 2 "MIN-PINS" and gave them my cell.About 1930Hrs.A totally HYSTERICAL woman called.I gave her directions to the house, and she came n got'em.
She tried to give me $100.00, but i turned her down, but made her PROMICE to put collars on'em, and have their phone#'s punched on'em.
I just hope if my Cricket ever takes-off,(wich she won't)someone will have the brains to call Animal C&C......

WOW! Now that's a happy ending to a good story. She even tried to give you $100, and you turned it down (as I would have). One good story, 2 good people, 2 dogs returned to their happy home, and a good lesson learned. There is some good left in this world. Thanks for sharing this. [:)]

I had one named Oscar. I used to tell Sandy if I cut him up and made burritos out of him, it wouldn't be enough to feed him alone.[^]
