and having the older girls in the neighborhood teaching the "show me game" lot better than school [:D][:D]
Started Kindergarten in Sept.1961. Memories of the Kennedy assassination and a lot of the 60's history were spent at that same school.
Right there with you But at that time Clinton would have been 15.
I lived and breathed to go dove and squirrel hunting in those days. I would reload enough shells at night to last me all week and weekend hunting.
A lot of times I would squirrel hunt before school in the mornings. We lived in a wooded area and I would hit the woods before daylight and get in an hour and a half of hunting before the school bus ran.
There was a very poor family that lived in one of the quarry company houses near where I would come out of the woods. I would leave the squirrels that I killed on their front porch and then go home and get ready for school.
Mrs. Burnett told my mom one day that Bud, her husband, had eaten so many squirrels that he had started climbing trees. She told mom that they were really thankful for the meat.
