Leupold Reticles

I'm in the market for a new scope, but I haven't decided if I am going to get a new scope for my 7 mag, or replace the scope on my .22-250. I'm a Leupold man, but I was curious about their Boone and Crockett reticles, both for large game and varmint. I've looked through a B&C reticle and it didn't seem too confusing, but I have never looked through a varmint scope. I'm looking to really get into calling yotes and maybe some cats, but I'm just not sure if that reticle would really be any help for that size animal, since I think prairie dogs generally come to mind for longer range varmint shooting. However, I would like to know if anyone here has any experience using these reticles, how easy (or not) are they to use during a hunt? Are the drops calculated accurately? The specific scope model was the 4.5-14x40mm Long Range (30mm tube) as you can get either reticle put in. Thanks for any help / opinions, hopefully I'll have a new scope on one of the guns ready for this coming season.

Take a look at Burris Signature Select, better scope than the leupy, and comes with Ballistic mil dot or Ballistic Plex reticles for range finding.

I was down between Burris SS 4-16x44 and Leupold VX-III 4-14X40 B&C. I picked the Leupold for it's forgiving eye relief of 5" vs. 3.5" for the Burris.
