..........is that he refuses to wear the American flag and hold his hand over his heart during the national anthem. A good video, about 13 minutes long.

He didn't hold his hand over his heart for the ssb; however, that is not required. He has before, and he always does during the pledge of allegiance.

Bush and Cheney wear flag pins, they hardly represent patriotism to me.
Not wearing the flag pin doesn't bother me.

Good point.....
Bite your tongue!!
Not wearing a flag pin doesn't bother me at all. I had rather see it flying than on a lapel. It beats those politicians that wear it only for photo ops with veterans groups, then promptly tread all over it when the camera's and public are away.
A lot of those so called patriots wearing flag pins while on the campaign trail are the same guys (and a few gals) who talk about being pro gun and then suddenly forget all about gun rights after the election is over and they have won another term. That BS gets old! If there was a photo of Obama wearing a flag pin what difference would it make? The GB Gang would simply post that he was a not being patriotic, rather that he was big phoney for putting on the pin for a photo op.

I believe you are incorrect, protocol dictates -
United States Code, 36 USC Sec. 301, states that during the playing of "The Star Spangled Banner" (United States National Anthem) when the flag is displayed, everyone except those in uniform should stand at attention while facing the flag with their right hand over their heart. Those in attendance who are not in uniform should remove any headwear with their right hand and hold it at their left shoulder, with their right hand held over their heart. Individuals in uniform should show the military salute during the first note of the anthem and stay in this position until the last note. If the flag is not displayed, people in attendance should face the music and respond as if the flag were present.

and there is a distinct difference between "should" and "must" or "shall." He "should" do it, but any attempt to compel him to do it is illegal and unconstitutional.
He's been a scourge on Illinois, and will only get worse is he gets in the seat of true power. I pray to God every night that it doesn't happen.

This ain't no rag it's a flag
and we don't wear it on our heads
It's a symbol of the land
where the good guys live
are you listening to what I said
You're a coward and a fool
and you broke all the rules
and you wounded our American pride
Now we're coming with a gun
and we know you're gonna run
but you can't find no place to hide
We're gonna hunt you down
like a mad dog hound
and make you pay for the lives you stole
We're all through talking and messing around
and now it's time to rock and roll
These colors don't run
and we're speaking as one
when we say united we stand
If you mess with one you mess with us all
every boy, girl, woman and man
You've been acting mighty rash
and talking that trash
but let me give you some advice
You can crawl back in your hole
like a dirty little mole
but now it's time to pay the price
You might have shot us in the back
but now you have to face the fact
that the big boy's in the game
The lightning's been flashing
and the thunder's been crashing
and now it's gettin ready to rain
Chorus:
This is the United States of America
the land of the brave and free
We believe in God, we believe in justice,
we believe in liberty
You've been pulling our chain,
we shoulda done something about you
a long time ago
But now the flag's flying high
and the fur's gonna fly
and now the whole world's gonna know
This ain't no rag it's a flag
old glory red white and blue
The stars and stripes
and when it comes to a fight
we can do what we have to do
Our people stand proud
the American crowd
is faithful and loyal and tough
We're as good as the best
and better than the rest
you're gonna find out soon enough
When you look up in the sky
and you see the eagle fly
you'd better know he's headed your way
This ain't no rag it's a flag
and it stands for the USA
AMEN!
