deadliest catch...been there, done that

since I got the albums out I found some pictures from my bering sea days here is the youngish engineer (me) on wheelwatch check out the sheepdip beard

If youve watched the dealiest catch show youve seen them feed the se lions heres pictures I took doing that

If they catch you it would be deadly, these animals are as big as a horse and can eat a 20 lb fish in one gulp...but they do tricks for a herring

    If you were in Alaska in the 90's there was a bull sea lion on the Homer dock. He took the S dock over. our boat was at S26. We had a heck of a time getting on board without disturbing the massive STINKY beast. He crapped all over the dock and made a crap mess out of everything. It was horrible. Federal laws prevented any body from disturbing the over grown turd factory. There was no legal way to force him to move out.

    I miss Alaska more than words can express. The deep yearning to be there is almost overpowering at times.

    Yeah they can be a problem...In kodiak several would lay on the docks you have to hit them with a pike pole to get them off..lazy b'terds.
    Im with you on the yearning.[:p]
