Anyone watch this series yet?
Do they portray the folks in a fair manner, or is it the typical made-for-tv hype with political messaging?

Like, for example, the guy wearing a loaded tactical vest at the backyard range. Yeah, never know when a zombie lizard will jump out of the mesquite for your jugular.[:0]
IF they were true preppers, they wouldn't broadcast for the whole world to see. Secrets are good.
I 2nd that. I would not be broadcasting my stores. From the commercials I get the impression the intent of this Series is to make the participants out to be extremist whack jobs.
OMG...call Child Protective Services, it ,must be illegal to expose children to weapons of destruction [:0]
They got more shows? I remember the one with like 4 familes (couple of familes in Arizona) where they got graded. Don't know who's doing the grading.
Yeah, I saw that one too... Was a pretty interesting show but it really doesn't teach prepping. It was more like a show and tell where a person shows all their stuff and gives a few reasons for it. A hidden panel of 'experts' then grade the efforts for the intended scenario that the prepper has prepped for and offer suggestions for improvement. Worth a watch if you're interested in the subject. The grading system was an interesting method of trying to separate functional plans from non-functional ones and I think they were very lenient with a lot of their grading system and seemed to grade harder based on how serious the person had prepped.
I think the show had a background intention of supporting the idea of preparedness or at least knew that the most likely audience for their show would not tolerate disrespectful ridicule. If they did make a series out of it then it would be pivotal that they get good relations with that community if they are going to gain access to the really reclusive ones.
