Browning or Beretta?

This is an auto 380 bda but on the other side of the slide it clearly has the Beretta Stamp...did Beretta make these for Browning? and what is the Beretta equivilent, a bobcat or PUMA?
I have not noticed where one manufaturer puts their logo on a gun and sells it as another brand?

Beretta did make the Browning 380 pistols, I think the equivalent model would be the model 84.

Sig sold the P220 .45ACP under the Browning label for awhile.

    Same gun, different roll marks.

I kinda noticed there are some browning shotguns that look just like Berettas as well, they don't sell well as brownings, but beretta seems to command a good price still.
I think it might be a mistake to market other manufacturers guns? I know it has been done especially by sig (they attach their name to anything) sig /sauer sig rizzini, sig benneli...

It expands their marketing reach. I don't think it does any harm.

I, for one, would much rather have a Browning marked firearm than that of another manufacturer - if for no other reason that it would increase the rarity of the weapon.
