This is the best year for morels around here in a while. Picked these in about an hour and a half. Gonna go back out tomorrow with the wife. If I get enough tomorrow I will give some away for my 1500 post.

Used to get those when I lived in Indiana. Are those from the mid-west? They have the best flavor of all the shrooms! Cooked in butter with,I think, a light bredding, man thats heaven!!

I just tramped the woods for 3 hours and found nuttin'. Lots of "wood ears" or "elephant ears". I think they're edible, but I gnawed on some raw, and the taste did not impress me at all. Bland. Anyone know anything about those dinner plate size tree ears?

me and the wife went out first part of the week and found nothing going back out in a few hours t odo some more searching but it isnt looking good here!!!![:(] those are some nice ones!!!!
