Something about that fiber optic front site just does not look right on a cobra. That and the rubber hand grip too.

I prefer the looks of wood and low profile sights....but I don't get the controversy over rubber grips and high vis sights.


Looks to me like Colt is putting a serious gun onto the market.

If I was to use it as a carry gun, I love it the way it is. For just a shooter or range gun, wood grips and low profile sites.

Looks like from a review that I read elsewhere, that it is a nice revolver with a reworked trigger. There was also speculation that this was just the entry back into revolvers and other snakes are to follow.

My local FFL bought we may see them after the Shot Show.

My current question is what this may do to the value of the original snakes?

Any speculation??

Since it's steel framed Detective Special fits best, I suppose Colt must have for some reason deliberately avoided that. I think they should have called it the "Agent" if they were going to re-use an old name. The Agent was the least distinct of the three old Colts.

I'd buy one, so long as I can switch out that fiber front sight.
