How many of you guys and gals are left-handed ? I bring this up because a kid in the local gun shop said " that's gotta suck bein' left-handed." little idiot. It hasn't sucked my entire life . I feel more comfortable shooting with my left hand and if I have to I will shoot with my right hand . I just do whats natural to me and most people find it interesting that i'm a lefty. Anybody else been told that being a lefty has got to be hard ?

Poor marksmanship so far but I'm improving
Also I hate the stocks that have the cheek rest for a right handed person. Just gets in my way.
They say 'we're' accident prone, don't believe it, I've only had 9 concussions[:D]. Also, the average left hander lives to the ripe old age of 62. I guess I'm a short timer.[8]Dave
You might want to tell "the kid in the gun shot shop" that
although i got debated on the cross dominance, and how to "not fix" it here, you will find some of the top handgun shooters who ever lived where left handed, and cross dominant
Qualified Marksman in the Army right handed.
Qualified Expert left handed.
I found from shooting M16's right handed: that more gas and carbon went into my right eye, than shooting lefty.
I am more comfortable shooting right handed bolt action rifles becasue that is all I have ever owned. The last time I tried to shoot a left hand model it did not seem natural at all.
Seriously though, I think the dominate eye is more important than which hand you shoot with. I'm right handed, and when I shoot pistols left handed I have to close my right eye or the target is the only safe place around.

I can shoot right-handed -- at least handguns (no long guns). I'm not the most accurate human being with my right hand, but I can put a bullet on paper at 25 yards. I think it is important to be able to shoot somewhat accurately with either hand in the event that one arm becomes injured or incapacitated and you need to defend yourself.
