WTH are they shooting those dogs with? I have shot some diggers in my time and have never had them blow up like that.

Most likely 22-250 on up- Its the bullet type/Vel. that makes them vaporise. BT's SPSX, Blitz Kings etc. will turn most small varmints into mush.

One nice thing about the .50 BMG is that it is forgiving. I missed squeak last fall by about a 6" (as it moved) and I still killed it. Ballistic tips and Calhoun double hollow points mist them pretty well in .223 & 22-250.

They were shooting under them most of the time. The trick is to hit them so they vaporise, and not just let the dirt under them do the work. If you shoot them correctly only the tail is left.

I've never shot them with a 22-250 but the 7mm Mag does it up right.
