Girls Jeep or for everyone?

I say girl's Jeep. Real men drive two-door, standard transmission Jeeps.[:D]

I ask this because the guy at the dealership told me that 90% of the people buying the 4-door Jeeps were women.

    That would be my guess.

    Looking for a $3,000 to $4,000 CJ5/CJ&, NOW.

Used to have a '78 CJ7 Quadra-trac. Man, I miss that Jeep! Had some fun.

Are you talking about one of those Hummer wannabes or a real Jeep.

    Then what model of Jeep.

CJ types give me the older two doors.

Cherokee XJ MAN JEEP, give me a 4 door. Easier to load gear into and the kids does not have to crawl over the seats.

Grand Cherokee GIRL JEEP. Got one of those also.

Give me an Automatic any day. I do not like to be crossing a river with water coming through the doors and waste a clutch disc and pressure plate or have to wait for it to dry to get moving.

I had a '05 Wrangler with a 6 speed that was a wonderful Jeep. I now drive a '08 Wrangler Unlimited 4 door and I can assure you it's no Hummer wannabe in the performance/capability area-plus it has solid axles instead of the Hummers IFS. I have the auto in it. I never thought I'd want a 4 door anything but it sure has been nice when we go camping and can load all the gear in and sleep in the thing with room to spare.

    A $32K CJ !!!

    Say it isn't so.

ruger - She sure is purdy, but can she cook ??

No wifey, no Kidlettes, two bucket seats, a raggedy top, a winch, and I'm good.

Hope I can find a nice CJ.

I currently drive an 06 Commander Hemi.

    If it's a girl's Jeep, I'm OK with that.

Been there more than once. Take a Ford or Jeep and you are OK as long as you can keep one moving crossing a deep river. Have to shift once while in water and you are done for. It is no fun having to replace a clutch disc and pressure plate in knee deep snow two miles past the middle of no where.

An automatic has a lot of advantages over a manual in many places. One is on the hills around here.

Heh heh. Used to see this ol gal that lived up a holler where the road ran up a creek for about a hundred yards. Had a Corvair Greenbrier van that I'd just slip the clutch on, till it dried out once I got back on the main road. Worked 2 or 3 times till the dang brakes and clutch and accelerator linkage froze up about 2:00 one cold morning.
8" of snow stops you eventually!

    [:0]

Guy came by who was using one of those Coleman catalytic heaters for a heater, and I set it under the thing till everything thawed.

(would have been better to have burned the car)

ps: Why didn't you straddle that mudhole?

    [:D]

One of the kids drove the black one into the ditch. I thought that is was funny sitting in that position. It is sitting on the frame with the front tires are about a foot off of the ground.[:D]

The red one is a different story. We were out playing and while going through the puddle the left motor mount bolts broke. When the engine dropped it sheared the distributor shaft off and there it sat. Had to leave it sitting in the woods overnight until I got a distributor and repaired the broken bolts.

XJ Cherokee's with 4.0 - 6L engines are known for breaking or losing motor mount bolts on the left side when they are used hard. New mounts and a piece of chain to limit the engines movement usually cures the problem.

Sorry for the confusion guys. When I said 4-door Jeep, I meant the stretched-looking Wranglers. I think someone said they are the Unlimiteds.

    I've owned a CJ-7 and a Wrangler before. I miss 'em.
