The ceiling is torn down and the electrician is installing new recessed lighting. I was looking at it as he was shaking his head. Whoever installed the previous set of recessed lighting ran the electric cable UNDER the joist and over the drywall. Not a notch, or a hole which is the right way, just ran it under and the drywall was installed right on top of it. This house still amazes me on a regular basis!
