Copying my CD's to the external hard drive....slow

I had NO idea this was going to take this long. I have been messing with this all day long....and haven't even began to TOUCH the HUGE amount of CDs I have to upload.
I put this off way too long. I have an mp3 player and haven't ever been able to put songs on it. My kids are always sharing music with their friends so if I wanted to listen to THAT mess I could have loaded that on there....but I am too close to the edge of sanity to listen to much of "today's" music.

There are several out there for around $100.00.
But if you a loading the files from CDs that is a very time consuming process.

RIP them locally first to MP3s, them copy them when you are done as they will be smaller.
