Many html editor programs have free hosting just for using their product. coolpage.com is one place that does that. it if also a free program to download. of course, yahoo also does webhosting. there are other sites as well that host for a minimal fee, some as low as $4.95 per month. Any web search for "website hosting" will get you something. For a free site, search for "free website editor or creator" programs.

if you are a beginner, use godaddy.com They have very cheap hosting, room for expanion and 24 hr help

    Domain name for like 9.

But what makes them great for a beginner is the value applications. Godaddy installs them for you easy and painless and free. Hosting starts at around 4 buck a month. Photo gallerie, blog, forum, guest book and just alot of stuff.

Awhile back I started a site called http://freehelpings.com Click on the forum link at the top and I have listed all sorts of freeware for website building.

doteasy.com is 100% free with no banner ads for their basic package - under $100/year for the "ultimate" package.
