A little annoyed - $40 for cheap 9mm?

I don't think I will buy ammo from {elsewhere} EVER again. I was looking for ammo and it looks like they doubled, tripled and quadrupled the price on everything. I don't mind a little gauging but they are rediculous. $40 for a box of cheapo 9mm?

Natchezss.com has kept their prices in check and even still has the occasional sale as has a bunch of other places. Cheaperthandirt has really pissed me off!

    As the buyer, you set the price. They can't sell it to you for more than you are willing to pay for it.

    Doubt it as many of their other 9mm offerings are rediculous in price.

    Gander Mtn. is trying to sell American Eagle 9mm for $59.99 a box.[:0]I was just in there and some guy was going to buy 8 boxes. And I pulled him aside and told him that just down the street a gunshop is selling the same ammo for $14.99. He promptly put the ammo back on the shelf. You would not believe the prices they have on their ammo. I thought it was a typo!

    That's everywhere really. Look at the Gunbroker auctions, look at Sportsmans Guide too. Cheaper than Dirt is beyond expensive, but the others aren't far away. Natchez is still the cheapest, but some of their stuff is getting up there in price. I just don't want to go shooting anymore, cause I really can't afford more ammo. 9mm is going for at least $20 a box that I've seen.

    Yes, some still have ammo for normal prices, like $12 a box for 9mm. But none of them have had any in stock since last year.

    After three months I finally saw some 38 special yesterday at the pawn in Abilene. Fifty rounds Fiochi for $28 a box!?!
