I have a glock 27 that i carry in my pocket. It is ready to go but i am leary of an ND. What are your opinions of carrying a glock sans a holster.

The only way I will carry one of my Glocks with a round chambered is with a holster that covers the trigger and trigger guard. A guy I know had a loaded Glock 45 in his pocket and it about blew his leg off. It missed his femoral artery by millimeters. That being said, It's your leg.

I value My Lower Extemities a little too much to carry a loaded pistol in my pocket without a holster to cover the trigger. Very Dangerous

I carry a glock in that fashion sometimes as well. But I have it in a desantis pocket holster. Many companies make those, mine was about $15, pretty cheap for making sure that my keys don't accidently blow my you know what off!

Carry it in a holster, its safer that way. I think its too dangerous.

+1 for the DeSantis, I use the inside pocket holster for my G27 and my keltec 380

I think they call that model of desantis pocket holster the nemisis, its known for being tacky on the outside to stay in your pocket when you draw your weapon.

which trigger is installed in yours?

id be leery of carrying without a holster with the 3.5lb and 5lb triggers. on the other hand, it would be tough to engage the trigger with 8 pounds of pressure accidentally and quite difficult to do it with 12lbs.

after all is said an done, it comes down to what your comfortable with.

I didn't think about that Kev, thats a good point, I install the 8lb triggers in all my glocks, I like the heavier triggers. That NY-2 12 pound is too much for me though!

My Glock 30 is always in a holster, either IWB or hip. I agree with the consensus of previous posters, not wise to mess with having the trigger unprotected during carry.

Stupid to carry a glock without a holster. VERY common for idiots here to carry it that way. VERY common for them to shoot themselves in the balls, too. AKA "Mexican Carry"

if your planning to carry that way, you'll have to adjust your training to include racking the slide to bring it in battery. of course, you'll also have to acept that your weapong wont be immediatley available.

I carry a Glock 27 for everyday as well. I use a Don Hume IWB holster. It seems to big for me to carry it in my pocket.

In my opinion that's sheer insanity (particularly when a low end but 100% functional pocket holster can be had for about $10).

I would NEVER EVER carry an external safety-less gun like a Glock without a holster! Reach into your pocket the wrong way. . .say good bye to one of your two best friends!
