Okay, I located a virus on my computer that wound up with me deleting a file by the name of "SDD.EXE". I can find no purpose for this file in windows other than malicious uses. However, now every time I boot the machine I get an error message saying "SDD.exe cannot be found". When I click through it the machine boots up fine.

How do I get rid of this message?

Go into REGEDIT and delete all occurences of "sdd.exe"???

I'm basically computer illiterate. Yeh I can post pics, copy paste,excel,e-mail links, pics, copy CDs ect.
What I need to know is I have wireless internet(wifi)and want to record my telephone conversations. Is there software available so I can just plug the phone jack into my computer and record conversations without buying those "isolated" recorders?

    Any info appreciated. [:)]

Is there a way to look at what needs to be or recently has been installed as an update?

Used to about once every week or two I would get the update symbol over my shutdown button for available updates. Upon shutting down it would do the updates. Now EVERYTIME I shut it off it has an update to install. It's always just 1 update so I think it might be the same one, not installing completely or correctly.

So is there somewhere to look at what is getting installed or to look at what it wants to update before I shut it down?

I need to replace the lcd panel in my laptop. There is LED replacements available or the factory CCFL.

    Which would you go with?

I would think like with tv's LED would be the newer better deal...

Also does anyone out there have a computer business that I could help support with a auction here?

if you have a mic, you cam plug

    ignore the other posts, [;)]

all you need is a modem ;) plug the line in there are many voice mail programs, how many are free I don't know. But a modem is all the hardware you need, and maybe a microphone headset to talk to the callers.

I'm pretty sure there is a way to record with simple AT commands, check the previous links. Google: record call using modem
