Cowards Give Me the Red *

I have a buddy that flies for an airline. He came to visit yesterday and we always spend a few hours solving the worlds problems.

We're talking about the Antifa uprising they're promising for 04 November. Anarchy and not quitting until the Trump administration is thrown out of office.

We agree locally nothing much will happen. New Orleans is the closest where the misfits may get froggy. The Cajuns can handle it and help could come from Beaumont and Biloxi if they need it.

An acquaintance from Silverhill (Pwillie, Cap, you know the type, yuppy good income)comes in and gets in the conversation. I built expensive weapons for this guy and he always talks the talk. He owns secluded property with a house in Virginia, it's just him and his wife.

He hears what Antifa is planning and his first words are he's loading up and hauling * to Virginia if any trouble starts. I told him he wouldn't be able to get through Atlanta.

I never have had a really trustful feeling about this guy. He had polyps cut out once and the doc sent them off for a biopsy. He started crying worrying about cancer. I just don't stomach cowards well.

The NRA has three million members. If only 10% have guts, that's still 300,000 men to face any threat. There's about three or four guys around here I would trust to go into combat with. One is a retired cop who wasn't military, but he's still got guts.

Take a close look at your local friends like I just did. Evaluate who you could depend on and who you couldn't. I don't really expect much to happen on the 4th, but you never know.

In the ASW world, our axiom was "Train like you fight, and fight like you train" since us and the bubbleheads were the only ones who actually went up against and sparred with the Soviets. We just didn't pull the trigger.

I have no intention of going to look for trouble but I believe I will fully act on my right to protect myself and family.
Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!

As for 12/04, talk is cheap. I don't need to tell most of you guys that. I have one friend that I can count on about 20 minutes from me. We both live in a rural/country area. I've been here 35 years and he & family about 100+. We maybe a small group (my boys would join us) but I know between us we have more firepower than both of our townships. I started collecting about 30 years ago as a hobby (my wife thinks it became an obsession). It was just an investment at first but recently it's more than that.
It's too late for me, save yourself.

Maybe he figures he will be heading to VA because he didn't feel he had any friends he could count on locally.
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

    Highball, is that you?

I know who I can count on and it's ME, myself and I.

To snag a line used here by another member in a post a couple days back...when it's "nut cuttin" time we'll see. In this world there's talkers and doers, generally one hell of a lot more of the first than the latter.
