Call springfield. Or Google them. Even their M1As have investment cast receivers from Brazil.
I am not crazy about where they come from but I dont want to drop a lot of loot on one for my girl...

don't need to, imbel is in the frame business, not internal parts, and they only can be imported as 70% of a frame final machining is done here, or they would just make the whole gun
have you ever met rob leatham?
The Springfield XD's are made in Croatia.
yep the HS2000
just ask me about it in 2006.
How? Don
I did a little poofing here of some VERY juvenile commentary. Please, let us keep the discussion on track, and observe the admonition from the home page, "Be nice."
If everyone liked the same thing, there would only be one pistol manufacturer, and it would only make one model, in one caliber. I kinda like having some variety and choices.

What do you know?
So are Springfield and Armalite (also a Geneseo ILL company) owned by the same parent company?
Well are they?
ja, I'm thinking an AR-24 would look great in my sock drawer, next to my Baby Eagle.
The Springfield XD's are made in Croatia.
