I read it on the internet so,it had to be true.Went to my local PETCO store and picked up a 10 qt. bag of Zilla brand ground english walnut shells.Guess it is used for lizard bedding.Filled my tumbler and added a tsp. of liquid polish.Threw in the brass and let it run 2 hours.Came out great.Finer grind than regular walnut media but works greatAlso much cheaper.10 qt. bag for 11 bucks.Try it you'll like it.

Ive been using that stuff for years. Works great except it doesnt seem to absorb my liquid polish very well so i stopped adding that. I use the reptile bedding for all of my cleaning, then load, and then put back in with corncob for 15-20 min to do a final polish and remove case lube.

The corncob i use came from harbor freight or grainger. I forget exactly where. But i remember it was $40 for a 40lb bag. Me and a friend split it.

If you are really stuck for polishing media, RICE works well too. [^]
It's being willing. I found out early that most men, regardless of cause or need, aren't willing. They blink an eye or draw a breath before they pull the trigger. I won't. ~ J.B. Books

Local Indust Supply sells crushed walnut media (treated) $14 - 50lb. The bag is very large. Doubt many people can reach around it, it's that big.

If you was smaller grit, just shake it over some screen wire.

Your stuff is over a $1 a quart. This is about15 gallon for $14. ummm.

Try it W/O the liquid polish. It will do the same job.
