I've got plans for something similar already on my computer. Send me an email to j_jennerman@hotmail.com if you want a free copy. I paid $50 for the plans.

MythBusters was on today and tested one of hydrogen conversion kits. Surprise, surprise, they don't work.

Hydrogen is extremely abundant throughout the galaxy and especially on this planet. Unfortunately most of it is bonded with Oxygen in water. Breaking that bond takes a lot of energy. It's impractical to split hydrogen from water because it takes more energy to do so than you can get back by burning the hydrogen. Most commercial hydrogen comes from natural gas (yes - back to fossil fuels).

Hydrogen has another downside - it's extremely explosive and therefore dangerous to carry around in a vehicle that could be involved in an accident.

Bottom line - don't count on a $150 piece of junk to solve your high fuel cost problem.
