watch ebay closely...bought 6 SIX pocket LED zoom lights Nov 10...many emails i finally got 1 ONE Dec 18....phony tracking up to this point..opened a dispute with ebay ..sent another did not get email to ebay and they return with we decided in favor of the seller on Dec 24..i figure because the tracking to my mailbox showed they believed the order was filled....so today i sent a negative feedback to multi-function 1002...so if the seller did the same on all the negative reviews and shipped 1/6th the order they pocketed $7000 FREE.....first time for any trouble and i do not care if it was $20 or $2000...principle is the same...must make their money off of the seller ....i have 100% +++ on all sites...i pay for what i buy and want to receive it..have had less trouble buying machinery or land

Ex wife keeps calling me, of late. Doesn't seem to want anything. Been a year and a half since I spoke to her, and now, two calls in three days. Kinda got a hinkey feeling about it, like, when is the other shoe going to drop? I just talk, non committal like, little information going out. Just seems weird to me. I really hope she is not trying to worm herself back into my good graces, because that will never happen. Just kinda messed up with the whole thing. She was never, ever, ever the sort to make the first approach. She never did anything wrong, or ever made any faulty decisions. Ever. Now she is calling me? I seriously believe that this is a "feeling out" (get your minds out of the gutter) expedition, and the bomb is fixing to fall. I just want

    Peace

I recently purchased a DSA Para Tactical (got if for a really good price). I am now thinking of adding a camo duracoat to it. I can get it done for under $300. Just wondering what pattern you all think would look good on this rifle. Or if you think its a big waste of money. Here is a link with the patterns I can choose from.

    Thanks,

I inherited my father's WWII fireaems.
I have his colt 1911, M1carbine, 2 german lugers and a lot of relics. What is the best way to keep them from rusting. What's the best lube? I want to pass them on to my 2 sons when I'm gone in about 20 years.

If you are sure you are going in 20 years might want to look into a good layaway plan. Pay now and go latter.

Do you plan on ever shooting them or do you just want to preserve them for the next 20 years?

Lets hope you make it for more than 20! Firearms on the whole do not really require a lot of tender loving care, especially military surplus arms. I suggest that you take each firearm and detail strip it to whatever degree that you fell comfortable (Lugers are a bit tricky) and give each a very good cleaning. Plain old Hoppes #9 will work fine or you can use whatever solvent that you prefer. Once they are clean you need only keep then dry and with a light coating of oil. The are dozens of products for this purpose: Breakfree, Remoil, Ballistol (I like that one) and just plain old gun oil. Just a light coating will do just fine and as long as you keep them dry and inspect them every six months they should stay rust free for well beyond 20 years.

Something I have never understood. Why wait til you die to pass things on. You are going to die no matter what. Go ahead and give them now and at least you get to see them enjoy em, or the kids sell them while you are still kicking. My opinion they will appreciate them more getting now than after your demise.

After you clean & oil them as Mark said, put them in your gun safe with a can of dessicant or a Goldenrod to control humidity. A gun sock or Roberts gun box for each will prevent dings & scrapes while in storage.

Should you have rust on any of them use KROIL, great stuff. Eezox and CLP are good products for lubrication/protection. The main thing to remember is keep them protected from humidity. The enemy is rust and neglect. Gunsocks are available for pistol and rifle and a cheap investment to assist in protecting the firearms. Lot of good information out there on firearm storage and maintenance.

I worked in a military museum for twenty six years. If you really want to get *, we would clean the weapon with alcohol and then apply a thin coating of wax. If you do this, handle them with cotton gloves. The wax collects less dust and dirt then oil. Remember this was a museum and the items weren't handled very often.

Since I live in NOLA, I'm considering donating them to the D-Day museum in my father's name. He was at Omaha beach on D-Day. This way the boys won't do anything stupid with them. My boys are still too foolish to know their sentemental value let alone the monatary value.
